Our Accredited Surgery Suite
Many Boston plastic surgery procedures are performed in our outpatient surgery suite, which is accredited by QUAD A (American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc.), under the care of a board certified anesthesiologist.
Our patients also have a choice of community hospitals or academic teaching hospitals where Dr. Samaha is an Attending Surgeon.
What is Quad A Accreditation?
To receive Quad A accreditation, a surgical facility must meet or exceed high national standards for safety of equipment, staff and the surgeon. This also includes adherence to federal laws and regulations, use of advanced equipment, certification of the surgeon and having a trained and accredited anesthesiologist on staff. Additional staff assisting with surgery must also be trained and licensed or certified.
What are the advantages to the patient of having an in-office outpatient surgery suite?
A properly equipped, accredited in-office outpatient surgical facility gives our patients the best combination of safety, privacy and convenience.
Is an in-office surgery suite less expensive for the patient? Is it still just as safe?
The facility fees for cosmetic surgery at area hospitals vary widely. The fees at Boston Plastic Surgery have been kept as low as possible, making them very competitive with those at Boston area hospitals, while allowing us to maintain the highest standards in accreditation, safety and equipment.
What procedures are done in the in-office surgery suite?
Boston Plastic Surgery’s surgical facility can accommodate all common outpatient plastic surgery procedures, although we do not offer overnight accommodations. Patients who desire to have an overnight stay are scheduled at one of the hospitals where Dr. Samaha is on staff.
