Dr. Alannah Phelan is a Boston native and passionate plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, along with non-surgical rejuvenation procedures. Dr. Phelan believes beautiful results begin with a great relationship between the patient and surgeon, and works closely with her patients to understand their aesthetic vision to build a customized treatment plan to achieve their goals. Education and training
Dr. Phelan received her undergraduate education at Dartmouth College, where she majored in Biology and minored in Biomedical Ethics. After a year in Manhattan conducting research at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical College, Dr. Phelan attended Pennsylvania State College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
Following medical school, Dr. Phelan completed a rigorous six-year residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Massachusetts, becoming the chief resident among her peers. Further honing her expertise, Dr. Phelan pursued a fellowship in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital (MEETH), the oldest and most prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowship in the country. The MEETH aesthetic fellowship is renowned for training experts in facial aesthetics, particularly facelift and rhinoplasty.
Throughout her career, Dr. Phelan has been awarded for excellence in surgery and has presented award-winning research at regional and national plastic surgery conferences. She is a loving and devoted mother and an advocate for women’s health, focusing her clinical research on maternal health outcomes and improving research opportunities for women.
