Elluminate Laser Rejuvenation at our Boston Skin Wellness Center

We all want to have and keep perfect skin, but the environment, our genetics, and the aging process eventually lead to issues including wrinkles, pigmentation variations, enlarged pores, and uneven skin texture—all of which may contribute to a dull or aged appearance. Using an Elluminate laser treatment, our aesthetic experts at Boston Plastic Surgery can target these imperfections and help you achieve fresher, more youthful-looking skin.

What are the benefits of an Elluminate laser treatment?

Safe for all skin types, Elluminate’s innovative combination of proven, effective lasers can:

  • Reduce brown spots and redness
  • Improve skin texture and tone
  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Diminish scarring
  • Improve overall skin wellness by stimulating collagen

Elluminate laser treatment wavelength depths can be adjusted to target your specific skin goals and concerns, which allows patients to enjoy more complete skin rejuvenation results with minimal discomfort and no downtime. During your Boston skincare consultation, we will carefully evaluate your skin to determine which depth of Elluminate laser rejuvenation is best suited to achieving your aesthetic goals.

How does the Elluminate laser work?

Elluminate supports customized skin renewal with multiple laser wavelengths available in a single device. Each wavelength penetrates the skin at different depths—safely and simultaneously targeting multiple skin concerns while stimulating deeper collagen production

  • 532nm laser addresses skin texture issues such as scarring, lines, and wrinkles
  • 755nm laser addresses hyperpigmentation and brown spots
  • 1064nm laser addresses redness and spider veins
  • 2940nm laser reduces photoaging, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and texture concerns

Elluminate laser treatment is exclusive to the EVO Series by Quanta System.

What should I expect during my Elluminate laser treatment?

To prepare your skin for Elluminate treatment, we will ask you to discontinue using “active” skincare ingredients such as retinoids and glycolic acid one week prior to your appointment. (You may incorporate these ingredients back into your skincare routine one week after your treatment.)

Treatment

Before treatment begins, we will apply a topical numbing cream to support your comfort. Once it has had time to absorb, your highly-experienced, licensed Boston Plastic Surgery aesthetician will maneuver the laser’s handpiece over the planned treatment area, incrementally channeling pulsed energy across the surface of the skin. You will feel each pulse as it activates your tissues but patients usually find the experience quite tolerable. An Elluminate treatment typically takes about 30-45 minutes—that said, length of treatment time will largely be dependent on the extent of the targeted area(s).

Post-treatment

After treatment, you may return to your normal activities. Mild redness may occur for a few hours or as long as a few days after treatment, but this side effect is temporary and easily tolerated. You’ll be able to apply mineral-based makeup 24 hours after treatment to conceal any remaining redness. In the days and weeks following your Elluminate laser session, you’ll also need to avoid sun exposure and always wear an SPF30 or greater sunscreen (something we recommend all the time!).

How many Elluminate laser treatments will I need?

Most of our patients see noticeable improvement after a single treatment, though we recommend a series of 3-5 treatments to achieve optimal laser skin rejuvenation results. Many patients love the effects Elluminate has on their skin and thus schedule an occasional touch-up treatment to maintain their results over time.

To further increase the longevity and effectiveness of your Elluminate treatment results, use medical-grade skincare at home; we are here to help you choose a personalized product regimen.
