Ready to get rid of persistent body fat? Dr. Samaha offers many liposuction techniques to help rid his patients of stubborn fat deposits on specific areas of their bodies and can help you determine which technique is best-suited to your goals. Tickle Liposuction—also known as Nutational Infrasonic Liposculpture—can provide minimal patient discomfort, decreased downtime, and no risk for thermal burns.
What is Tickle Lipo?
Named for the tickling sensation some patients experience during the procedure, Tickle Lipo utilizes the traditional small tubes called cannulas to remove the fatty tissue beneath the skin. In Tickle Lipo, these cannulas are activated by air pressure, causing them to vibrate and rotate beneath your skin’s surface to remove fat. As with other forms of liposuction, Tickle Lipo can be performed on many areas of the body to remove fat deposits and even works well when utilized near the skin’s surface. In order to undergo the procedure with Dr. Samaha, you should be a healthy nonsmoker at a stable body weight.
What to Expect from Surgery
During your procedure, you will be placed under a general anesthetic or a local anesthetic with sedation. Treatment may take anywhere from one to two hours to complete, depending on the treatment area and the amount of fatty tissue to be removed. Dr. Samaha will make small incisions in the treatment area and use the Tickle Lipo vibrating cannula to administer a tumescent fluid, which numbs the area and makes the fat easier to remove. He will then use the cannula to suction out the troublesome fat. Once the desired results have been achieved, Dr. Samaha will close the incisions with sutures and apply a dressing and surgical tape.
Liposuction Aftercare
After your procedure, you may wear a compression garment to aid in healing, but will be expected to walk shortly after surgery. Any discomfort may be managed with medication.
